Yellow-barred Long-horn

Nemophora degeerella (7.001)

The Yellow-barred Long-horn (Nemophora degeerella) is on the wing in May and June. It is quite common in Warwickshire. The males often congregate in groups, bobbing or dancing as they fly. The males have as their name suggests, extremely long antennae up to five times the length of their wings. The females have short antennae.
